Tournaments
The JGA holds monthly tournaments throughout the year using different formats that are competitive, fun, and open to players of all handicap levels.
Our tournament schedule each year runs from Spring to Fall using different formats each month. We have individual stroke play and team events that are competitive and fun for our membership. Some tournaments throughout the year are also open for members to invite guests to play.
A big event for us that we enjoy each year is our Veterans Tournament. This gives the JGA an opportunity to thank all of our members who are veterans and to thank all veterans who have served our country. To all of our Vietnam Veterans, welcome home!

First of all we want to thank everyone for playing and supporting the JGA. We play tournaments to recognize and reward players who excel in a 2 day competition. We work hard to put together tournaments that we believe represent the interests of our members. There is nothing better than shared experiences through fellowship on the course and after.
Thanks to Marcy and Alberta for keeping the members going in the right direction. Thanks to Cindy for keeping everyone hydrated and filled up with food.
These last 2 days meant a lot to those who competed. Let's talk about a few moments and shots that were worth mentioning the last couple days.
* Ed Galaski eagle on 2 and 7
* David Hardison eagle on 2. Ridiculous birdie on #1 from # 2 fairway.
* Frank Landing 18 pars 1st day. Mr. Vanilla...
Congrats to Grandpa, Gary Jennings for his new grandkid! Family is so much more important than golf.
Congratulations to the new Senior Champion, David Hardison 71-69-140 total. He is a pleasure to play golf with and an incredible talent. He made tough putts for 2 days and played solid golf. I personally loved his "way" left shot on # 1 that landed in #2 fairway. He hit over the trees and made the putt for a birdie. That is how you win and represent us as Senior Club Champion. Congratulations as we know you will represent us well as the new Champion.
Let us remind you that Rick Briley represented himself well as usual. This was not his year, but he handles himself in a way we all need to learn from. He will be back another day and year to whip us all on the course as he often does. Playing with Rick is always a pleasure.
John Parker is the Super Senior Champion. Congratulations on winning 2 years in a row. 74-77-151 total. You have a good game and need to join us during weekday gang play. You are always welcome and we look forward to seeing you.
The Club Championship is this weekend. If you get the chance please come out and support our tournament and players. Today we really appreciate Eddie Southern and Jim Pridgen stopping by as we were finishing up play.
Take care and we look forward to seeing all of you out soon. Every week we have a tournament on Wednesday and Friday. Come get some!
